Small businesses across Nebraska gain exposure through a joint marketing effort that lowers barriers and highlights entrepreneurial innovation.
Nebraska Public Media and GROW Nebraska are partners in a unique and affordable radio marketing opportunity that supports ten GROW Nebraska member businesses. This initiative provides small businesses and entrepreneurs across the state with an accessible way to promote their business and expand their reach.

About two years ago, I met GROW Nebraska CEO Janell Ehrke. GROW Nebraska is a nonprofit educational organization that supports small business owners and entrepreneurs across the state. When we first connected, we began exploring ways we could collaborate to help promote Nebraska’s small businesses statewide, while also providing value to both GROW Nebraska members and Nebraska Public Media audiences.
Through several conversations, Janell and I developed a plan that would offer her members the opportunity to participate in a statewide marketing campaign at an affordable cost. We recognized that marketing can often feel like a financial risk, especially for small businesses and entrepreneurs who are balancing many priorities. By working together to make this opportunity more accessible, we aimed to lessen that burden and turn the idea of investing in marketing into something not intimidating, but exciting and attainable.
